Priscilla Sims Brown serves as President and CEO of Amalgamated Bank, a full-service bank, lender and investment manager with a century-long commitment to advancing positive social change. Amalgamated Financial Corp., the holding company for the Bank, is the first publicly traded (NASDAQ: AMAL) financial institution to be a public benefit corporation.

Brown guides Amalgamated Bank in championing social responsibility through values-based banking, customer-centric services, and mission focused lending, serving individuals and organizations, including climate groups, foundations, labor unions, advocacy groups, political campaigns, and other socially responsible businesses, who care that their deposits are put to work for good.

Brown is also dedicated to addressing environmental and social justice issues at Amalgamated Bank. More than 60% of the Bank’s lending and select balance sheet investments are high-impact through affordable housing, nonprofits, and climate solutions.

Sam Brown joined Amalgamated Bank after serving as Director of the White House Business Council in the White House’s Office of Public Engagement. As President Obama’s liaison to the private sector, Sam worked on economic policies to help America’s working families and businesses succeed. Before leading the Business Council, Sam held various positions with President Obama. He served as founding Chief Operating Officer of Organizing for Action and Finance Chief of Staff for the Obama-Biden 2012 campaign.

Jason serves as the Chief Financial Officer. Before joining the Bank in 2015, Jason spent 12 combined years at Capital One Financial and North Fork Bank in roles that ranged from finance to middle market commercial business development. Earlier in his career, Jason worked at American Express in strategy development and at KPMG as both a banking auditor and a technology implementation consultant. Jason is a licensed CPA in New York.

Tye Graham is Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer, responsible for Amalgamated’s human resources strategy; a plan focused on building culture and attracting, developing, retaining, and engaging our most valued asset, our colleagues. This includes talent acquisition and development, compensation, benefits, payroll, and internal communications.

Tye joined Amalgamated in 2021, and previously served as Senior Vice President of Talent Management at Eastern Bank. He has also held senior HR roles at GE Capital, Sun Life Financial U.S., Bank of America, and Citizens Financial Group. He started his HR career at USTrust Bank, Boston where he served as Vice President of Corporate Training & Development. Tye is a graduate of Emmanuel College, Boston, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

Margaret joins Amalgamated Bank from Investors Bank where she was Chief Credit Officer and was responsible for leading the credit culture and credit risk management of the commercial and retail portfolios. Before that, Margaret served as Chief Credit Officer at OceanFirst Bank, and spent more than two decades at Wells Fargo in positions of increasing authority in both Lending and Credit Risk Management. Over the span of her career Margaret has earned numerous, well-deserved awards and accolades. She is a past recipient of the NJBIZ Best 50 Women in Business Award, the Woman of Influence in Finance Award, and was an EWNJ Salute to Policy Makers Honoree.

Leanne Ocampo is the Chief Audit Executive (CAE) at Amalgamated Bank. She has overall leadership for the Bank’s internal audit function and is responsible for developing internal audit systems, processes, and procedures to support the Bank’s current and growth plans. 

With more than 18 years of experience, Leanne has held positions in audit and compliance within the banking and capital markets industry in the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia. Before joining Amalgamated, Leanne acted as Director of Global Compliance Monitoring & Testing for Markets at Citibank where she led various compliance reviews to confirm adherence to banking laws, rules and regulations. Prior to Citibank, Leanne was the Head of U.S. Compliance Audit at Scotiabank where she developed the audit strategy and coverage plan, led and managed audits, validated regulatory exam findings, and led regulatory exams with the FRBNY, FINRA and NFA. Additionally, she has held compliance testing, internal/external audit, banking advisory positions at Credit Suisse, Ernst & Young and PwC.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce, majoring in accounting and finance from Monash University and is a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA ANZ). She has held a General Securities Representative License with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

Edgar joined Amalgamated Bank after completing law school in 2006. He began his tenure with the bank in the General Counsel office in the role of Associate General Counsel. For the first nine years, Edgar focused on regulatory compliance, examinations, corporate governance, and served as a legal adviser to Amalgamated’s senior management. For the next three years he managed the bank’s compliance and enterprise risk function as the Chief Compliance Officer then Chief Risk Officer. Edgar also served as the Northeast Regional Director overseeing a commercial banking and lending team focused on labor unions, nonprofits, social enterprises and community development organizations.  He is active with various industry groups and serves on the NYC Workforce Development Board. 

With more than 20 years of leadership experience across Operations, Technology, Product Management, and Client Services, Sean has built his career serving commercial client segments with a deep focus on Transaction Banking. Prior to joining Amalgamated Bank, Sean held senior roles at HSBC within Global Transaction Banking, where he led initiatives supporting high value payments for financial institutions and large corporate clients. Earlier in his career, he was part of Cathay Bank’s Strategic Planning Group, where he helped advance the cash management product suite as the bank diversified its commercial client base.

As Amalgamated’s Chief Information & Operations Officer, Sean oversees Information Technology, Enterprise Data, Product Management, Client Experience, and all back office operational functions, including Loan Servicing, Deposit Operations, Item Processing, Cash Management and Payment Operations, Custody Operations, the Contact Center, Facilities, and the Bank’s real estate strategy and footprint.

Mandy Tenner has served as our Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, since December 2023, previously having held the title of Executive Vice President and General Counsel since April, 2022. Before that she served as our Deputy General Counsel from April 2018 to April 2022, and as our Assistant General Counsel from April 2016 until April 2018. Before joining us, she served as counsel for ContourGlobal, a global power company from November 2010 to March 2016. Earlier in her career, she worked at Guggenheim Partners in their Leveraged Debt Group. She holds a bachelor's degree in History and Political Science from Brandeis University, an M.A. in French from Middlebury College, and a J.D. degree from Brooklyn Law School.

John C. Saltos is the Executive Vice President and Director of Commercial Banking for Amalgamated Bank. John is responsible for directing strategic growth and implementation of lending products and services to Amalgamated's commercial clients. In addition, he is a member of the Credit, Investment, and Asset Liability Management Committees. Mr. Saltos has more than 25 years of experience in banking, primarily focused on commercial real estate lending.  He has served in leadership roles with M&T Bank, American Home Mortgage, and Bear Stearns, building expertise on every side of CRE as an analyst, in product development, client sales, and as a team leader, where he managed a portfolio of multi-family, mixed-use, office, retail and commercial clients, totaling $3 billion in committed capital. He holds a MS degree from New York University and a BA degree from Canisius University.

Ken joined the Bank in 2012 with a focus on Asset Liability, Risk and Securities portfolio management in addition to loan acquisitions. He is a member of the Credit, Investment and Asset liability Management committees. Mr. Schmidt has over 30 years of banking experience, including over 10 years at the Dime Savings Bank of New York where he held positions including Senior Whole Loan Trader, Portfolio Manager, and Deputy Treasurer. Following the Dime he worked for two inter-national banks and was the Chief Financial Officer for Darien Rowayton Bank. He holds an M.B.A. in Banking and Finance from Hofstra University.

Leslie Veluswamy has served as our Executive Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer since November 2022. Previously, she served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer at Dime Community Bancshares, Inc. ("DCB") from 2019 until 2022. Prior to that, Ms. Veluswamy served as Senior Vice President and Director of Financial Reporting at DCB from 2016 to 2019. Ms. Veluswamy is a licensed CPA in New York and holds a B.S. in Accounting and a Master's degree in Accounting from the University of Florida.
