Samsung Pay allows Samsung Galaxy users to make in store, in-app and online payments on their devices using an eligible Amalgamated Bank debit Mastercard®1.

Samsung Pay is now part of Samsung Wallet. Samsung Wallet comes pre-loaded on most Samsung mobile devices. If you do not have Samsung Wallet on your device, simply download it from the Galaxy Store. Then, complete the registration process by opening the Samsung Wallet app, signing in with your Samsung account, and accepting the terms and conditions.

  1. Open the Samsung Wallet app on your phone.
  2. Complete the Samsung Wallet registration process if you haven’t already.
  3. From the ‘Quick Access’ tab, click on the plus sign on the top right and select ‘Payment cards’.
  4. Select ‘Add payment cards’.
  5. Scan your card, add it manually, or add it using NFC.
  6. Read and accept the Bank’s terms and conditions.
  7. Verify your payment method. 
  8. Enter verification code.
  9. Enrollment is complete. Begin using your card immediately to make purchases with your phone.

Most Samsung mobile phones are Samsung Pay compatible. Visit https://www.samsung.com/us/samsung-wallet/faq/ and select ‘Is Samsung Wallet supported on my mobile phone?’ for more information.

Standard Debit Card, Enhanced Debit Card, Enhanced Donate the Change Debit Card, and Business Debit Cards. Give-Back Enhanced Debit Mastercards are not currently eligible.

Samsung Pay is accepted in-stores, in-app, and online. Look for the Samsung Pay logo or Contactless Symbol at checkout for in-store purchases.

  1. Open Samsung Pay on your phone. 
  2. Select “Menu” on the bottom right.
  3. Choose “Payment Cards.”
  4. Select payment card.
  5. Select “Set as default Card.”

You will have zero liability for unauthorized use of your Debit Card or PIN.
